<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the energy efficiency of a device and downsize a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The device is structured so that in a relatively low speed operation, a brake B is actuated and clutches C1 and C2 are disengaged to enable a power distribution integrating mechanism 30 to function as three-element type, and the coupled condition is generated in which the rotating speed of the rotary shaft of a motor MG2 is changed and fed to a drive shaft 65; in a relatively intermediate speed operation, the clutch C1 is engaged while the one C2 and brake B are disengaged to generate the coupled condition in which the power distribution integrating mechanism 30 functions as four-element type; and in a relatively high speed operation, the clutch C2 is engaged while the one C1 and the brake B are disengaged to enable the power distribution integrating mechanism 30 to function as three-element type, and the coupled condition is generated in which the rotary shaft of the motor MG2 is coupled with a crank shaft 26 of an engine 22.
