PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesiveness of a polyimide surface, related with surface-treating method for polyimide films useful for forming electronic parts and a flexible print substrate required with heat resistance, and related with adhesives used for adhering a metal or the substrate with the polyimide film surface-treated by the method. SOLUTION: The adhesiveness of the polyimide film with the metal or the substrate is much improved by treating the surface of the polyimide with a mixture solution of ethanol amine with N-methylpyrrolidone or dimethylformamide. When a polyimide adhesive for adhering the surface-treated polyimide film is a polyimide compound comprising bicyclo(2,2,2)oct-7-ene-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and 3,4-diamino-diphenyl ether as the ingredients, remarkable effects are exhibited in the adhesiveness of the surface-treated film with the metal.
