PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for a passenger conveyor capable of cleaning a floor surface of a machine room without causing a part left without scraping up. SOLUTION: This cleaning device provided below an entrance 1 to clean the floor surface 5a of the machine room 5 is composed of a pair of guide rails 7a, 7b installed on the floor surface 5a of the machine room 5 and arranged below a direction conversion position of a step 2 across predetermined distance, a pair of guides 8a, 8b engaging movably with the guide rails 7a, 7b, a cleaning body 9 whose end parts 9a, 9b are supported by the guides 8a, 8b, a flexible wiper blade 10 attached to the cleaning body 9, and an operation handle 11 whose one end is fixed to the cleaning body 9. The cleaning body 9 positioned in the innermost part of the machine room 5 usually is pulled out in front of the machine room 5 through the operation handle 11 as required to clean the floor surface 5a.
