PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for forming a metal with die casting, with which a high quality formed product can continuously and efficiently be produced. SOLUTION: This apparatus for forming the metal with the die casting, is provided with a holding furnace 5 for storing molten-state forming material, an injection device 6 connected with the holding furnace 5 through an opening/closing valve 55, a furnace tube 3 having a pouring hole 35 opened upward at the other end and connected with a cylinder 62 in the injection device 6 at the one end, the dies composed of a movable die 2 and a fixed die 1 forming a runner 41 and a die cavity 4 communicated with a pouring hole 32 in the furnace tube 3, and a plunger tip driving means for taking out/inserting the plunger tip 61 into the cylinder 62 in the injection device 6. The position of the plunger tip 61 is adjusted with this plunger tip driving means, and after matching the molten metal surface of the forming material 9 as the molten state in the pouring hole 35 in the furnace tube 3 to a reference surface of the pouring hole 35, the fixed die 1 and the movable die 2 are clamped and molten-state forming material is filled up into a die cavity 4.
