PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball catching tool with which ball catching is easy by corresponding to the characteristic of a placing manner of power of fingers of a wearing person in the case of catching the ball, and to provide a method of designing the ball catching tool. SOLUTION: A glove 1 (ball catching tool) is provided with: an outer skin 1A comprising a ball receiving surface outer skin 8 and a back surface outer skin 9; an inner skin inserted into the outer skin 1A and having a palm member provided along the ball receiving surface outer skin 8 and a back member provided along the back surface outer skin 9; finger parts formed between the palm member and the back member for accepting the fingers of the wearing person; and a reinforced part provided selectively at a specific place at the palm member.
