<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane marking recognizing device for a vehicle for precisely and accurately recognizing a lane marking by selecting an image to be synthesized according to a speed. <P>SOLUTION: This lane marking recognizing device for a vehicle is provided with image synthesis means (S100 to S110) for extending the length of a lane marking such as a white line in a photographic image by synthesizing a plurality of photographic images photographed in different time by a photographing means such as a camera.
