<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stencil process printer which can prevent an erroneous performance from occurring due to a lag in timing between an operation to attach a plate cylinder unit to and detach it from a main body of the stencil process printer and an operation to connect/disconnect an electrical connector by working out a best practical way to remedy such a lag in timing. <P>SOLUTION: When the plate cylinder unit is drawn from the main body of the printer by operating and transferring a drawing means, an electrical connector connecting/disconnecting means is transferred to disconnect a pair of the electrical connectors by operating/transferring the drawing means and a retaining means is actuated by the further operation and transfer of the drawing means to remove the retention of the plate cylinder unit in a specified printing position.
