COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT AND CONTROL METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment enabling users in remote places to share tactile information, and to have fun with a sense of sharing or a sense of unity even from remote places.

SOLUTION: The communication equipment is provided with: a plurality of input/output devices whose statuses are changed when a force is physically added thereto by a user; a corresponding means for making the plurality of input/output devices in each of the connected communication equipment correspond to the plurality of input/output devices of its own communication equipment, respectively; and a control means for changing the statuses of the input/output devices in the opposite communication equipment corresponding to the input/output devices to which the force is added by the user by the changing quantity of the input/output devices corresponding to the physical force added by the user to the input/output devices in either the other communication equipment or its own communication equipment. Thus, the communication equipment can simultaneously or asynchronously communicate with the connected opposite communication equipment by using tactile information.
