PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antibacterial agent having a good antibacterial activity and well dispersible in various kinds of matrices to which the antibacterial activity is imparted. SOLUTION: The antibacterial agent is composed by containing antibacterial particles 2 having a sparingly water-soluble silver salt 4 and a sparingly water-soluble filler 6. The sparingly water-soluble silver salt can uniformly be distributed in the matrices by using the antibacterial particles 2.
