PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string for bundling capable of self-holding a winding condition and bundling an article to be bundled only by winding the string for bundling round for an appropriate number of times when the article to be bundled such as a bag and an electric cord is bundled, a method for manufacturing the string for bundling, a flexible packaging bag with the string for bundling, or its package. SOLUTION: By providing continuous meandering notches on a belt sheet-like continuous flexible plastic material, and dividing it into a plurality of lines, projecting parts having expanding head parts are provided on one side or both sides in parallel. When the projecting parts having the expanding head parts is wound for a plurality of times for bundling the article to be bundled, the projecting part or a continuous part of a part with a different winding times enters into a gulf-like gap between the projecting parts, and by an action of a force expanding of the article to be bundled, or after the continuous part is extended and wound, the projecting parts with different winding times are engaged each other by an action of a force contracting of the continuous part.
