发明名称 ACTUATING METHOD OF MOTOR-DRIVEN PARKING BRAKE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven parking brake capable of performing a stable actuating position control by absorbing the elongation of its cable or the wear of a friction member and prolonging the lifetime of the brake device. SOLUTION: An actuating method for this motor-driven parking brake manipulates the friction member directly or through a cable using a motor. In pressing the friction member to a friction surface, the actuation current of the motor and the manipulating amount of the friction member are measured, and two stroke amounts are used, the first consisting of the difference between the manipulating amount of the friction member when the actuating current starts rising first after the initial current period and the manipulating amount of the friction member when the actuating current has attained the specified current value and the second consisting of an amount obtained by adding the specified additional stroke amount to the first stroke, wherewith the motor is rotated reversely by the second stroke amount when the friction member is put in the return motion. When set in the adjusting mode, the parking brake is operated with the maximum load, and upon returning for the specified stroke amount, the first stroke amount is measured.
