PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commercially valuable plant cultivation device enabling high-density cultivation, and improved in utilization efficiency of electric power. SOLUTION: This plant cultivation device has the following: a wall body partitioning a space 8 at least a part of which has light permeability; a supporting body 1 for a plant cultivation stage 2 detachably arranged in the space 8 partitioned with the wall body; light source panels 9 arranged so as to face off against the supporting body 1 for the plant cultivation stage 2 in the space 8 and provided with a light source irradiating the side of the plant cultivation stage 2 with light; and a light source controlling mechanism 10 controlling the light irradiation of the light source panel 9. The light source panel 9 is formed so that a plate-state light source 11 is attached/arranged to a frame body 12 having a plurality of lattice-like or serial sliding paths in a zigzag state.
