PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drier capable of quickly, evenly, and automatically drying an object to be dried without temperature differences. SOLUTION: The drier is composed of a drying process part 100 including a cylinder 1, a vacuum generator 16, a hot air circulation system 23, and a material supplying and discharging system 28. A screw 4 transferring the object to be dried is arranged in an interior of the cylinder 1 so as to form a gap with an inner face of the cylinder 1, and a jacket 5 is provided in an outer side of the cylinder 1. Sealing shutters 9a and 9b for forming a vacuum chamber are formed in a supply passage for sending the object to be dried to the cylinder 1, and similar sealing shutters 9c and 9d are provided in a discharge passage also. The object to be dried introduced into the gap in the cylinder 1 in a pressure reduced state is evenly heated without temperature differences and quickly dried by heat transfer from hot air passing an inner side of the screw 4 and through the jacket 5 when it is transferred to a discharge side by the screw 4.
