<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure bioinformation scarcely affected by a movement or the like of a subject himself/herself and without restricting the subject nor giving discomfort to the subject. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor element 10 for use in this bioinformation measuring instrument comprises a body part 20 having a speaker 21 for outputting reproduced music or the like, and an ear piece 22 composed of a soft cushioning material. When the bioinformation is measured, the ear piece 22 is inserted inside the external ear canal just like a general ear receiver and the body part 20 is fixed to the cavum conchae. The year piece 22 is embedded with a light emission part and a light receiving part for measuring the bioinformation, and, when the subject wears the sensor element 10, the light emission part and the light receiving part abut on the skin of the inside the external ear canal and are so disposed that the optical axes of the projecting light projected from the light emission part and its reflecting light become perpendicular to the external ear canal or an angle close to the perpendicular angle to the external ear canal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
