PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which can obtain an image of high focused focal degree while reducing the duration of time from instruction of start of shooting to actual shooting, and an image processing system consisting of the electronic camera and an image processing device. SOLUTION: The camera has an imaging part for generating an image by imaging a subject image via a taking lens, a focal point detector for carrying out focal point detection based on the image generated by the imaging part, a taking lens driver for driving the taking lens based on the result of focal point detection by the focal point detector and an acceptor for accepting an instruction of start of shooting by the imaging part. When the acceptor receives the instruction of start of shooting, the imaging part images the subject image continuously and generates a plurality of images, and the taking lens driver drives the taking lens continuously.
