PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of easily giving adequate tension to a belt stretched over a driving pulley and a driven pulley to construct a power transmission mechanism of an electric motor. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device 10, a belt 37 is stretched over a driving pulley 22, a driven pulley 36 supported by a first gear housing 11A in a cantilever manner is hooked to the belt 37, and a fitting part 42 of the gear housing 11A is fitted to a fitting hole 41 while being abutted on the fitting hole 41 of the other gear housing 11B as a fulcrum.
