<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent repetitive hunting that an accelerator pedal is returned and stepped on because a driver who wants to travel at a constant speed can not suitably control an acceleration pedal stepping amount in the case that the vehicle transmitting engine output to a driving wheel by the shift of a continuously variable transmission travels with the engine throttle opening retained in a low opening region. <P>SOLUTION: When operation that the driver returns and steps on the accelerator pedal in the low opening region is repeated at an approximately constant vehicle speed, the vehicle speed when the repetition reaches a predetermined frequencies is regarded as the constant vehicle speed desired by the driver. Next, a target throttle opening for retaining the constant vehicle speed is found out by referring to a map. When the accelerator pedal stepping amount is in the low opening region, the target throttle opening is executed regardless of the accelerator pedal stepping amount by the driver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
