摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic diagnosis/measuring apparatus and its method for measuring the cover depth or the diameter of reinforcing bars of reinforced concrete structures with a pulsed electromagnetic force. SOLUTION: A coil 12 is mounted to a surface of reinforced concrete 11, made of a reinforcing bar 11a and concrete covering the reinforcing bar 11a. Current pulses are impressed on the coil 12 to generate a magnetic field pulses. Eddy current is induced in the reinforcing bar 11a by the magnetic field pulses. The reinforcing bar 11a is excited by the mutual action between the eddy current and the magnetic field pulses to generate sounds. Acoustic signals are converted into electrical signals by an acoustic converter 14 mounted to the surface of the reinforced concrete 11. With reference to the previously acquired dependence of wave height values on the cover depth and diameter, on the basis of wave height values of the electrical signals and either the known cover depth (d) or the known diameter of the reinforcing bar 11a, either the diameter or the cover depth (d) of the reinforcing bar 11a is measured.
