PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed type compressor eliminating the possibility of intermixture of foreign matters such as welding spatters and leakage of a refrigerant and reducing stress received by a compression mechanism part when the compression mechanism part is fixed to inside of a closed vessel. SOLUTION: In this closed type compressor, the compression mechanism part 2 is stored inside the closed vessel 1. The compression mechanism part 2 has a recessed part 22 formed on the outer peripheral part opposing to the inner peripheral part of the closed vessel 1. In the closed vessel 1, a portion corresponding to the recessed part 22 of the compression mechanism part 2 enters into inside the recessed part 22, in the state that the portion is pressed against the direction of the bottom part of the recessed part 22 from outside and both inner and outer peripheral parts of the portion are sheared. On the outer peripheral part of the closed vessel 1, a recess 13 approximately similar to the recessed part 22 of the compression mechanism 2 is formed by a pressing tool. The recessed part 22 of the compression mechanism 2 and the pressing part of the closed vessel form a mutual fixation part 4 of the closed vessel 1 and the compression mechanism part 2.
