PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a useful termite-controlling bait excellent in the retention of a molybdenum compound and a tungsten compound and causing no drop of repellency and eating tendency for termite. SOLUTION: The termite-controlling bait is obtained by the following procedure: (a) An aqueous solution containing sodium molybdate and sodium tungstate and (b) an aqueous solution of a barium salt or calcium salt are added in this order to a chip-like eager-to-eat base material for termite to include (c) barium or calcium molybdate and tungstate formed by salt interchange in the base material in the weight ratio (a)/(c)=(0-50):(50-100) in terms of molybdenum and tungsten, the resultant mixture is dried to≤15 wt.% water content, and a phenolic resin adhesive or urea-based resin adhesive containing no excess free formaldehyde is added at 5-20 wt.% based on the whole bait followed by molding under pressure.
