PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of the drive measurement of a surface acoustic wave device for obtaining a measurement system for detecting an output difference between a measurement output signal and a calibration output signal. SOLUTION: A high-frequency burst signal is generated and inputted in a ball-like surface acoustic wave device 10, and a response characteristic is measured based on a go-around reception signal which is repeatedly outputted from the surface acoustic wave device 10 with a constant time interval. A process is provided in which a duration time of the high frequency burst signal is adjusted to specify a position on the time axis of the go-around reception signal by changing the gate width of a gate 21 for inputting the high-frequency burst signal in the ball-like surface acoustic wave device 10.
