PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for relaxing a problem arising from different DVD specifications. SOLUTION: The device is a system for copying data contents of a multi-session DVD storage medium as a source to a multi-session DVD storage medium as a copy destination, and comprises a reading unit for reading data from a 1st storage medium, a writing unit for writing the data to a 2nd storage medium, and a control device unit 12 for controlling the reading unit and the writing unit. The device is provided with an address converter unit 22 which analyzes a file allocation table of each session and applies a predetermined address offset to each address in the file allocation table before writing the data to the 2nd storage medium.
