PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting shaft and a connecting method capable of easily connecting and disconnecting between a first portion and a second portion of accessories and to provide a wristwatch having the connecting shaft. SOLUTION: This connecting shaft 32 is inserted into a through-hole 48 of a watch 1, which is provided with an exterior part 2 having two bearings 45a and 45b provided opposite to each other, and a band 4 having an insertion part 41 inserted between the two bearings 45a and 45b and the through-hole 48 penetrating through the insertion part 41, and connects the exterior part 2 to the band 4. This connecting shaft 32 is provided with a body 33 having a hollow part 332, a pin 34 inserted in the hollow part 332, an energizing means energizing the body 33 and the pin 34 in a direction where the whole length of the connecting shaft 32 extends, and a state retaining means retaining the respective states of a contracted state where the whole length is contracted, and an extended state where the whole length extends and the ends of the body 33 and the pin 34 enter in the respective bearings 45a and 45b respectively.
