PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and highly practical water storing and draining device exclusive for an umbrella, durable against the repeated use, capable of collecting rain water dropping from a wet umbrella, keeping the floor surface dry and easily draining collected water. SOLUTION: The water storing/draining device consists of a several water collecting ports at the top face, a hollow water receiving part in the intermediate part for easily confirming the quantity of water, and a pusher rod with a spring for draining water. When the stored water strongly pushes the umbrella A downward, the staying pusher rod is moved upward by the spring 3 and a gasket 4 to form a gap between a collection barrel and the pusher rod, so that the stored water is drained.
