PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method of acquiring data for an equipment monitoring system.

SOLUTION: The method comprises a step for receiving a first plurality-of-data sample value (104) based on a first signal generated by a first sensor (28) during a period of time from a first predetermined time to a second predetermined time, further a step for receiving a second plurality-of-data sample value (108) based on a second signal generated by a second sensor (30), and finally a step for storing both the first plurality-of-data sample value (104) and the second plurality-of-data sample value (108) into a first memory (54) if the time difference of the first predetermined time and a third predetermined time is less than a predetermined threshold time.
