<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin particle containing a colorant, holding fine colorant particles fixed on the surface of the resin particle and having uniform particle size distribution, a method for producing the resin particle, and an oil-based ink for inkjet printer having excellent dryability on a recording paper sheet, abrasion resistance of the recorded image and fixability to the paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The resin particle containing the colorant is produced by mixing a resin particle dispersion containing a charged resin particle in a non-aqueous solvent with a colorant dispersion liquid containing at least one kind of fine colorant particles having a charge reverse to the charge of the resin particle and heating the mixture to fix the fine colorant particle to the surface of the resin particle.
