PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone which easily and quickly displays a direction to a position good in antenna sensitivity without mounting a large-capacity memory or transferring a large-capacity map data. SOLUTION: The portable telephone 1 receives radio waves by a receiver circuit 12 through an antenna 11, checks the sensitivity condition of the antenna 11 by a sensitivity receiving circuit 13, acquires the positional relation to the sensitivity of the antenna 11 at the time using a position detector circuit 15 and an direction detector circuit 14, and stores it as data in an information memory circuit 16. For receiving under a poor sensitivity condition of the antenna 11, etc., the portable telephone 1 determines a direction to the position good in sensitivity of the antenna 11 from a display circuit 17 to notice the direction to the position good in sensitivity of the antenna 11 with a mark of arrow, etc. on an LCD display 18, lighting of LEDs 19 and voice announce 20.
