PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component, an optical communication device, and an electronic device, which are capable of reducing light coupling loss and are highly reliable, and to provide a manufacturing method for the optical component. SOLUTION: The optical component comprises an optical element 11 including a light emitter or a light receiver 13 having a projection 15 made of a transparent resin thereon, a translucent resin film 19 on which the optical element 11 is so placed as to bring the projection 15 into contact with the resin film 19, and a fixing means 17 which fixes the optical element 11 and the resin film 19 so that the projection 15 presses the resin film 19.
