PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous furnace of low initial introduction cost and operation cost, capable of using a compact combustion type deodorizing device in comparison with a conventional one. SOLUTION: The smoke generated from a burned substance in a furnace body 12 is sucked into a smoke suction pipe 70 from an opening 76 formed near the burned substance by an air blower 72, and burned at a temperature of about 800°C by a deodorizing device 74 to be deodorized. As the opening 76 of the smoke suction pipe 70 is formed near the burned substance, the smoke generated from the burned substance is efficiently sucked from the opening 76, and prevented from mixed with the gas of high temperatures flowing from a burning zone 34. Thus the quantity of gas burned by the deodorizing device 74 is remarkably reduced in comparison with a case when the exhaust gas of the mixture of the smoke and the gas of high temperatures is fully sent to the deodorizing device 74.
