PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger of double-sided structure capable of preventing the generation of cracking and being placed in a furnace by multiple pieces. SOLUTION: As an introduction pipe 6A is connected with a communication pipe 5A in a state of remaining a straight part 7 free from bending, the cracking is not found on a connection part of the introduction pipe 6A with the communication pipe 5A even when the communication pipe 5A is bent after heat treatment, to form the heat exchanger main body 1 into the reverse truncated chevron shape. Accordingly two heat exchanger main bodies 2 can be placed in the furnace in a flat state in heat treatment, which enables placing of multiple pieces, and bent into the reverse truncated chevron shape without problem. As a minimum dimension 5mm for preventing cracking is secured on both sides of the introduction pipe 6A, a length of the straight part 7 can be minimized in a state of surely preventing the generation of cracking. As a length of the communication pipe 5A is shortened, and a clearance D between two heat exchanger main bodies 2 is narrowed, the total width W of the double-sided heat exchanger 1 can be reduced, and the heat exchanger can be easily assembled in a vehicle.
