PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker intended to elongate the minimum resonance frequency with elongating the high pass reproduction limit, thereby realizing a flat characteristic over a wide band. SOLUTION: The speaker has an arch-shaped bent diaphragm 1 having a top 1C forward from its inner and outer diameter fixed parts 1A, 1B, the outer diameter of the diaphragm 1 has an edge 6 made of a different material from that of the diaphragm 1, and the junction of the diaphragm with a voice coil 3 has a half vertical angle of 45°or less. This constitution restrains the front chamber effect, improves the strength of the diaphragm 1, elongates the high pass limit frequency, improves the flexibility as the outer diameter of the diaphragm 1 has the edge 6 made of a different material from that of the diaphragm 1, and elongates the minimum resonance frequency, thus bringing a peculiar effect to realize a flat characteristic over a wide band.
