PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method and an adjusting mechanism of an adjustable torsion spring for correcting a pitch tolerance and fatigue deformation of the spring. SOLUTION: This adjusting mechanism is fixed to one end of a case of the adjustable torsion spring; corrects the pitch tolerance and the fatigue deformation of the spring by altering pretension or a preload of the torsion spring; separates a spring wire from a resistance of a rotary body by pressing the spring wire by the resistance of the rotary body by restoring a pitch of the spring to a pitch of the rotary body; and finally adjusts the preload or pretension of the torsion spring by attaining a predetermined effective frequency for the torsion spring by rotating the rotary body by holding microscopic clearance. This adjusting method is operated for various adjustable torsion springs, and reduces noise generated by the adjustable torsion spring in use, by effectively solving the problem of the pitch tolerance and the fatigue deformation of the adjustable torsion spring.
