PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron cover locking device enhancing the durability of parts and facilitating the replacement of parts in the locking device for a cover body fitted to a frame body. SOLUTION: The iron cover locking device is provided with the frame body 1 having a conical inner peripheral surface 1A and a locking protrusion 1B formed below; the cover body 3 fitted to the conical inner peripheral surface of the frame body; a first locking body 50 suspended from the lower face of the cover body energized to the conical inner peripheral surface side by the gravity or the force of an elastic member and separated from the conical inner peripheral surface by bringing its outer surface into contact with the conical inner peripheral surface; a second locking body 51 suspended on the lower side of the first locking body and provided at its lower part with a hook 51C locked to the locking protrusion; and stopper members 55, 57 provided at the lower face of the cover body and engaged with the upper end of the second locking body to lock the hook to the locking protrusion when the first locking body shifts to the conical inner peripheral surface side and to separate the hook from the locking protrusion when the first locking body is separated from the conical inner peripheral surface.
