PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of conventional method for producing thread wound balls for a sewing machine, such as the deterioration in the qualities of the threads and the elongation of time needed for the production. SOLUTION: This method for producing thread wound balls for sewing machine to obtain the wound balls to be dyed, comprising a first twisting process 1000 for first twisting raw yarns at a single raw yarn unit, a yarn-doubling process 2000 for doubling the first twisted raw yarns, a ply twisting process 3000 for ply-twisting the doubled yarn, a heat-setting process 4000 for heat-setting the doubled yarn, and a soft-winding process 5000 for winding up the heat-set doubled yarn at a winding density suitable for dyeing is characterized by performing the first twisting process 1000 and the yarn-doubling process 2000 with a twist yarn-doubling machine 50 equipped with a yarn-twisting spindle device 60 and a double yarn guide 70, and performing the ply twisting process 3000, the heat-set process 4000 and the soft-winding process 5000 with a yarn twister 1 equipped with a yarn-twisting spindle device 100, a heater 400 and a winder 700.
