PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cold forming technique for a Ti6-2-4-2 sheet material in such a manner that hot forming is made needless. SOLUTION: The method for enhancing the cold-formability of Ti6-2-4-2 sheet material comprises cold-forming a predetermined, pretreated Ti6-2-4-2 alloy into cold-formed shape; subjecting the cold-formed shape to a post-forming annealing cycle comprising: heating the cold-formed shape to about 1,450±25°F; holding the cold-formed shape at about 1,450+25°F for about 15±2 min; and cooling the cold-formed shape to room temperature.
