PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winder capable of preventing occurrence of trouble that a foot is put on a driving drum and having excellent safety. SOLUTION: A work bench 2 is provided on either of two driving drums 1a, 1b for bringing a core C into contact and rotating it to wind a web W, and a tube 3 is provided on an upper face of a tip part positioned on a driving drum 1b side on one side of the work bench 2. When winding the web W, the tube 3 is swelled by supplying compressed air to prevent a foot of a worker working on the work bench 2 from moving onto the driving drum 1b side in order to ensure safety. When taking out a web roll R onto the work bench 2, the tube 3 is contracted into a flat condition by exhausting inside air to prevent rolling of the web roll R taken out on the work bench 2 from being obstructed.
