PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of certainly precluding a cord drawing phenomenon out of a bead core at the end of a carcass ply and assuring excellent bead part durability in which the strength of the bead part is secured and a difference in the stiffness is eliminated. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire is structured so that a pair of bead cores 2a and 2b confronting each other in the tire rotational axis direction are provided in the bead part 1 and the end 3a of the carcass ply is held pinchedly by the bead cores 2a and 2b, wherein a plurality of bead wires W are arranged in the innermost layers in the tire radial direction of the bead cores 2a and 2b and are laminated directed from the inside to the outside in such a way that the mutually confronting surfaces of the bead cores 2a and 2b form asperity surfaces 21 and 22 to engage each other, and the end 3a of the carcass ply is held pinchedly by the asperity surfaces 21 and 22 in zigzag form.
