PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide baked confectionery improved in egg flavor without using spices and increasing an amount of egg added, and to provide a method for improving the egg flavor of the confectionery. SOLUTION: The baked confectionery contains yolk and is added with D-methionine as an egg flavor improver. The method for improving the egg flavor of the baked confectionery comprises adding 5×10<SP>-6</SP>to 0.25% of D-methionine based on the dry mass of the total raw material of the baked confectionery.
