The method involves signaling services provided by service hosts, to different hosts which are located in parts of an Internet protocol communication network having service selection units and in parts not having the service selection units. The service hosts providing the services belong to the portions of the network not having the service selection unit. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for an Internet protocol communication network.
