The protective device for elongate objects takes the form of a woven hose which is impregnated with a mixture consisting essentially of polyurethane. Independent claims are also included for: (A) a method for producing the proposed protective device; (B) an application of the device for protection of electric cable assemblies, fuel lines, hydraulic hoses and the like.
