The rotary heat exchanger includes a rotor (3) provided with flow sectors (4,7) and enclosed by a case (2). The pressure within the case is greater than the pressure of the air currents (5,6,8,9) flowing through the rotor. Peripheral seals (15,16) are fastened to the case. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing a rotary heat exchanger.
