RUBBER COMPOSITION EXHIBITING IMPROVED ADHESION TO A METAL REINFORCEMENT

The invention relates to a rubber composition which is usable for producing rubber-metal fabrics, adherable to a metal reinforcement and contains a diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler, a crosslinking system and an adhesion promoter comprising at least one type of lanthanide, preferably organolanthanide compound. Said invention also relates to a metal/rubber composite which comprises the inventive composition and to the use thereof for producing or reinforcing systems for contact of motor vehicles with the ground such as tyres, to the systems for contact to the ground and rubber semi-finished products, in particular the tyres containing said composition. The lanthanide compound provides the composition and composite with improved adhesive properties after a thermal ageing, in particular under humidity conditions. Said composition can be used separately or combined with a cobalt compound, in particular for carcass reinforcements or a tire crown for passenger cars or trucks.
