he device for thw assessment of the quality of operation of x-ray machines comprises one or two x-ray radiation detectors, palced inside the device and connected to a suitable electronic circuit which comprises a microprocessor and digital memories. One of the two detectors is shielded by a thin metal sheet (aluminium 3-4 mm or copper approximately 0,5 mm thick).The detectorss record digitized refereeence signals from one or both radiation detectors are processed by a suitable program and produce indices which represent the intensity and the quality of the x-ray beam produced by the x-ray machine. These initial indices are stored in memoriess inside the device and compared to the new indicess produceddd during the daily assessment of thex-ray machine. The comparison of the new to stored indicess causesss the appearance of qualitative messages the screen and the turning on of color LEDs which inform the user of the device for the condition of the x-ray machine and particularly for the intensity and the qualty of the beam produced. |
