PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a more desirable ignition timing depending on various operation conditions of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This ignition timing control device calculates a MBT basic value and a knock basic value based on an engine speed and load of the internal combustion engine. A control position of a VVT mechanism and correction items of such as intake temperature, cooling water temperature, and fuel amount corrected to be increased in accordance with a vehicle running condition, based on a change in each engine parameter are separately calculated according to correction items (VVTm, tham, thwm) with respect to the MBT basic value and correction items (VVTk, thak, thwk, Qk) with respect to the knock basic value. By separately correcting the MBT basic value and the knock basic value according to each correction item, a MBT ignition timing and a knock ignition timing are calculated. Out of the MBT ignition timing and the knock ignition timing, the timing at more delayed side is set as a control basic value. |
