PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a diagnosis of a television camera apparatus which quickly analyzes the cause of a trouble when it happens. SOLUTION: The trouble diagnosis of a television camera apparatus is divided in a plurality of steps. If the trouble diagnosis result indicates a failure in one step, the diagnosis in the next step stops. CPUs are mounted in a camera head and a camera control unit to independently diagnose the trouble, and each diagnosis result can be transmitted to the other CPU in a trouble diagnosis system. If the diagnosis result indicates a failure, a user of the apparatus can know failure contents one after another from an original failure and hence quickly analyze the cause of the trouble of the apparatus.
