Cooling body (1) comprises a layer of copper or copper alloy on the hot side (2) to which a plate (9) or frame plate (9a) made from copper or copper alloy is assigned. The plate or frame plate is closed using an elastic seal (10). A number of parallel longitudinal profiles (4a) are provided either in the plate or frame plate or in the seal as cooling channels. The plate or frame plate is connected to a covering plate (12) made from iron or steel material and forming the cold side (6).
