A disposable absorbent article is pant-like prefastened by a pair of adjustable tape fasteners (20) each including a primary fastener portion (21) and a secondary fastener portion (22). The primary fastener portion pant-like prefasten the front side part (6) and the back side part (7) of the absorbent article along the longitudinal side edges of the side parts. Further, the primary fastener portion (21) is manually releasable or tearable to separate the side parts. The secondary fastener portion (22) comprises an attached end (26) and a free end (27) wherein the attached end is permanently attached to the primary fastener portion (21) or to the back side part (7) and the free end is releasably and refastenably fastened to the front side part (6) or the front waist portion (3) of the absorbent article allowing to adjust a conforming fit about a wearer's waist. <IMAGE> |
