A torsion bar, especially for vehicle suspension systems. It has the form of a straight bar with one end fixed rigidly in a fastening, while the other end is secured to allow its rotation. It is characterised in that it is equipped with a clamping ring (3), secured to slide along the bar (1) and connected to the servo-motor (5). The latter is connected through a regulator to a sensor of a controlling value, such as road wheel loading, displacement and deformation.
