A recipe for non-meat fast food consists of egg white with or without water, emulsified oil and starch, formulated into solid or spread condition. The food further contains additives e.g. vegetable, fruit, nuts and cereals. The food is devoid of synthetic emulsifying agents. The starch is gluten-free. The food is not acid de-natured or free of added acids. The food pH value is in the range 6.5 to 7.7. The egg white is added in powder form and represents 20 to 68% Wt. The oil and fat component represents 15 to 60% Wt. The ratio of oil to egg white is 5 to 22 % Wt. Also claimed is a process to prepare the food in solid or spreading condition. |
