The non-woven cloth has a basic structure with two opposite parallel surfaces, one of which is covered, preferably all over, with a scouring medium made from a a binding agent and fine mineral particles. The particles, selected from alumina, silica, calcium carbonate, feldspar, talc, polymers or mixtures of these, have a diameter of 20 mcm or less, with half being smaller than 10 mcm, and preferably under 5 mcm in diameter. The binding agent is based on a latex with a vitreous transition temperature below 20 degrees C and preferably reticulable.
